Under his able governance, the Banas Dairy has taken multisectoral strides harnessing nine modernized, state of the art, techno driven plants spread across India, with over 5 lacs milk producing members, with the processing capacity of 80 lacs liters of milk collection per day, contributing up to 40% of Amul products with the revenue generation of over Rs 16000 Crores from Rs 6000 Crore in the past, the Banas Group is glorified as India’s Pride, Asia’s Best & continues its journey to be an undertaking of global eminence.
His earnest desire to bring about comprehensive transformation of the rural populace has resulted in establishment of Galbabhai Nanjibhai Patel Charitable Trust, with a vision to serve the cause of education, healthcare, health education & rural progression imbibed with the spirit of Vasudaiva Kutumbakam.
He founded the world class Banas Medical College & Research Institute, under the statutory control of NMC, Min. of Health & Family Welfare, offering MBBS program with intake capacity of 200 seats per annum. He enriched the General Hospital Palanpur with excellent infrastructure, high quality diagnostic & therapeutic healthcare facilities & made available, the advanced multidisciplinary medical services at the door step of every person of the region.
Water, the Elixir of Life; in order to renovate, rejuvenate exististing facilities, construct new water harvesting structures, to conserve rain water into the surface waterinfastructe to improve soil moisture & groundwater. He has been crusading the mass movement under Jal Shakti Abhiyan. Today, over 200 water bodies or ponds have been constructed, now filled up to near their total capacity to the sheer joy of deprived villagers.
Continuing the saga of growth, the Banas Sainik School comes into existence under the aegis of Sainik School Society, Min. of Defence, Govt. of India, serving the cause of education, especially for the children of rural masses to develop their body, mind, character, imbibe national spirit, indomitable courage & build brave men in uniform to serve the defence services.
